In the refrigerator you will find ingrediants for a continental breakfast. There will be toast or english muffins, olallieberry jam or a mandarin butter. Manderin bread or olallieberry scone, whatever is in season. There will be juice, coffee and tea. Fresh mandarins depending upon the season. All of the above products are made for us by our chef and are sold here on the ranch.
This is a working orchard and berry farm. A stay here in November and December will offer an opportunity to observe the mandarin harvest. If you visit us in April you will delight in the beauty and aroma of a mandarin orchard in bloom and a stay here in mid-May through early June will be when we harvest our berry crop. December through April the pasture is home to beautiful polled Herford show cattle that very quickly become your friend. From time to time, you will also be sharing the orchard with a family of deer, a flock of wild turkeys, some raccoons, quail, and skunks. And don’t be alarmed if you hear a coyote howling at night.
